The tagline of the event being ‘a global community of diverse cultures,’ one highlight is the Arts on Belmont branch of the festival, which focuses on the work of original artists and artisans. There’s a ton of media - oil, watercolor, glass, metal, textiles, clay, photography (!) and wood - all presented by artists representing, well, diversity. A full directory of the artists showcasing their work at Arts on Belmont is available here.
Word to the wise: get to Arts on Belmont early, around 10am, before the rush.

The rest of the festival features a smorgasbord of food, music, performers and dance (including lessons). Check out the full program here.

The events begin around noon on Sunday - including a ‘jazz oasis’ in Kalorama Park and a childrens’ fair - and last all day. Being that it’s a glorified street party, be sure to check out the website to make sure you hit everything on your list.
Plan your day here. And let me know how it goes!
