Still more alcohol and art . . . tonight!

The Piedmont Council of the Arts is hosting ‘Art Drinks’ tonight at Zinc from 5:30 - 7:30. On the 2nd Wednesday of each month, PCA invites you to gather ’round for cocktails and conversation.

Swing by this evening for drinks specials and chances to win pieces by local artists. You were gonna go anyways, now stop by a little earlier.

If you’re not familiar with PCA, here’s your chance. They promote artists, arts organizations, and cultural events in the region by providing web-based resources, hosting celebratory arts events, and co-sponsoring community cultural events and projects.

Ooh, that sounds fun. I wonder which local artists are giving up paintings? Zinc is a great place to hang out btw.

Last night had a great turnout. Kyle, I think you had just left when I got there.

Maggie Guggenheim, Executive Director of PCA, was on hand to talk about some of their upcoming projects (including the 2008 Rising Star Celebration on Saturday, 18 October), and quite a few people asked for cards so that they can contact us with upcoming events/shows. Hmmm . . . good idea!!

Definitely go next time and check out the raffles - great crowd.
