John Fogerty Added to Pavilion Summer Schedule

The concert announcements at the Charlottesville Pavilion just keep on coming as the Budweiser Concert Series will welcome former Credence Clearwater Revival frontman John Fogerty to town on Sunday, August 24.  Tickets go on sale Friday, June 27 at 10am.

Sure all of CCR’s hits were recorded before some of us were even born, but I’m not ashamed to say that I know the words to each and every one and I wouldn’t mind seeing some of those classic tunes live on a summer evening in Charlottesville with a beer in hand.

Shaun, I’m pretty sure that we’re required by law to take our dad to this show. What do you think?

State law would require it. However, federal law states that he must also see Willie Nelson so we’ll have to see if there’s some legal loophole involved that would allow him to see them both. :)

@1. BTW…mark it on your calendar. July 12th, the Greencards at Gravity. Plans are in the works for Dr. Ho’s Pizza followed by the show @ Gravity Lounge. You should come.

Oh yay, ANOTHER concert I have absolutely no interest in going to. When are they gonna book somebody good?

Oops, that was aimed at the Pavilion. Gravity Lounge actually gets some artists I like.

Does the Greencards event involve the folks? Either way, I’m in. Off topic, are you and sissy coming to H-land this week? I am beyond freakin’ frazzled and need to veg out with nature and beer. And people I love.

Answer is….when whiney gen x’ers can fill up the place and spend the money needed. Those of us with GenX children, such as myself; well we fill it up and dont sneeze at the tix prices.

Five bands in my car CD changer….Arctic Monkeys, Beirut, Estelle, Fratellis and Heartless Bastards. I would pay to see them as well, but bottom line is that Cville does not fill the money to drive those bands our way.

Anyway, music that influenced an entire generation, be it as it may your parents, would be well listened too before it is nothing but digital.

    So…less whining eh’
