Pictures from the Raquellos, The Moses and The Vamanos Show at Saxx

Ok, I am certainly no photo expert, but I still think there are some cool pictures of the show… everyone was well received and we were all impressed that it was The Moses’ first show. Well done, guys.

Special thanks to Tom Daly for letting me borrow his low-light lens and giving me a few pointers for shooting.

I had a great time at this gig. Thanks to everyone that came out. It was, indeed, and excellent crowd to play for, especially for our first gig. I give a lot of credit to the Spicey Bear network for thier promotion.

Saxx was great. I was surprised to see such a large room and big stage. I’d definitely like to play there again with a few sound tweeks. Thanks to the staff there for keeping everyone, especially the musicians full of snacks and drinks.

There will be another show, maybe with the same bill at a different venue. Details will most certainly be announced.

yeah thanks for the meatballs and PBR’s saxx - they were epic

saxx has maj potentsh. like everyone’s saying, with some sound/mixing changes, which really wouldn’t be too difficult - it could be really really sweet.

as far as i know, this was one of the first real “rock” shows to be there, or am i wrong?

i’ve been hearing the same Gravity closing rumors forever and it’s still around. Anything new re: that? Also, whatever Orbit will be will be having music when it reopens from what I understand.

Orbit will have music I’m told. Upstairs where the pool tables used to be. As for the Gravity rumors, I’ve only lived in C’ville for a couple years but I’ve heard these rumors since almost Day 1. All I can say is that they have announced shows well into the fall. I know that doesn’t put rumors to rest but it is a positive sign. BTW–the Gravity’s Five Year Anniversary is coming up a week from this Friday with Lasko and Punn opening for the Hackensaw Boys. This should be a ton o fun!!!

Oh, it was a blast and the crowd made it as such. Confucius asked, “if a tree falls in the forest and no one is there to hear it, does it make a sound?” Probably, but it’s irrelevant. On that note, if a band rocks out and nobody is there to hear it, do they really rock? Probably, but it’s irrelevant.

I’m glad to see people came out to Saxx. It shows that even though our venues are drying up, the audience is still there. If there’s an audience, there will be venues, not the other way around.

We’ll (and by we I mean the Moses) definitely be playing out again, and again, and again. I’m totally stoked.
