The (Subliminal) Return Of..

With the exception of the recently announced additions of Kenny Rogers and the George Thorogood and Buddy Guy show to the Charlottesville Pavilion’s concert line-up, things have been pretty quiet on the ‘who’s coming to town’ front.  So as a subtle and subliminal reminder, I thought I would call to order another meeting of our little My Morning Jacket Lobbying Committee.  It can’t hurt to gently nudge the folks making the decisions a little bit can it?  So with a tip of the cap to SNL’s Kevin Nealon (My Morning Jacket), away we go…

Spring is (My Morning Jacket) here.  You can smell it (My Morning Jacket) in the air around Charlottesville.  So as the days continue to grow warmer (My Morning Jacket) and longer, let’s get out there (My Morning Jacket) and see some great shows.  Who knows maybe I’ll run into you (My Morning Jacket) at the Pavilion sometime this summer.

[This subliminal message brought to you by The My Morning Jacket in Cville Lobbying Committee.  MMJICLC for short, which as an acronym doesn’t really work, does it?]

Also, I’ve slightly ammended my list of bands I’d like to see in Charlottesville this summer.  I’ve been listening to the new Drive By Truckers record online and I have yet to see those guys, although I did see Patterson Hood’s solo show at Starr Hill in ‘06!!!  Plus I’m a huge fan.  And I’ve added my old friends the Avett Brothers.  I’m feeling the need and it’s been so long I’m being to wonder if Scott still remembers me.  Here’s the list (My Morning Jacket):

1. andrew bird
2. modest mouse
3. drive-by truckers
4. the avett brothers
5. los lobos

And as a bonus I give you this:
