I shall definately try to check out Sesshin tonight. There are just not enough Jazz outlets in town that allow the bands to really play the way they want to (meaning, they don’t have to serve as background/dinner music), so its good to see some homegrown bands that have developed and ripened for a long time in a place that does.
Sesshin will be killer. Word is they are going to cover a bunch of Medeski, Martin, and Wood tonight. James McLaughlin is a bad ass drummer.
I’ve missed everything today. I’m so screwed with stuff that has major deadlines. Anyway, a Guiness gets me there. This summer, Shaun, you and I need to get some good bashes in. Let’s have a ball. You sound like a real fun dude. I look forward to it.
Yeah… Shaun… You rock and that’s it!
