Our Song of the Day choice goes out to Aliza Shvarts, the Yale art student who hoaxed the world yesterday with news of her fake “art exhibit” that supposedly was going to display a video recording of her own forced miscarriages. If you haven’t heard about this one you can read more here.
Aliza explained that the art was intended to spark a conversation about art and the human body. Uh, it’s definitely sparked conversation alright. It will be interesting to see what kind of backlash this ‘cheap trick’ also sparks. But if it’s worldwide notoriety that Aliza was hoping to gain, well… in the words of another famous Yale grad, it’s mission accomplished. Here’s Cheap Trick with “I Want You to Want Me”

This is so appropriate!
I thought so. I’m glad someone else agrees.
Oh man, this song takes me back. I think I need to listen to some KISS now.
Damn Shaun… I gotta say I usually skip over the song of the day but I have to say ‘HELL YEAH’ for this song. Propaghandi did a cover of this in the 90s that was as good (maybe better - it was Canadian punk?). I’m youtubing some Cheap Trick. This made my day.
Budokai, ftw!
