The Nuse: One Bourbon, One Scotch, & One Beer?

Although there has been no official announcement as of yet from the folks at the Charlottesville Pavilion, a quick check of Charlottesville concert listings at Pollstar.com reveals that George Thorogood and the Destroyers and the legendary Buddy Guy have been added to the Pavilion’s summer concert series.  To be sure, I popped on to Thorogood’s own website and the date has been confirmed there as well.  The scheduled date is Tuesday, August 12.  This gives Charlottesville blues fan yet another reason to celebrate.  The Thorogood/Guy show comes just six days after B.B. King’s scheduled performance on Wednesday, August 6.

In other Pavilion-related news, the date for the Black Crowes performance is now set.  That show is going to be at the Pavilion on Saturday, July 5Tickets go on sale May 2nd at 10am.  And if you haven’t had a chance to check these guys out, Grace Potter and the Nocturnals will be opening for the Robinson brothers.  They are amazing!!!

I’m excited to see Phil Lesh and Friends again. I saw my first Grateful Dead-related show (Ratdog) in 17 years at the Pavilion last summer. I haven’t danced that hard in ages. I was on Dead tour from ‘85-’90.

BTW Street, RE: The Phil and Friends show. Make sure you check out the opener of that show too. Jackie Greene! I’ve got his first albums on Verve “Sweet Somewhere Bound” and “American Myth”. Both very good, although I’m partial to Sweet Somewhere Bound. A definite nice addition to the Phil and Friends show line-up
